Dr. Wong completed his DDS degree at the University of Pacific’s School of Dentistry, San Francisco, in 1986, and then successfully finished two years of prosthodontic training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Wong has had a private practice in San Diego, California, since 1988. He highly values attention to details and professionalism with a straightforward approach. To stay updated with the latest clinical techniques and dental technologies, Dr. Wong takes up education courses, and also participates in professional seminars. A member of the American Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, and California Dental Association, Dr. Wong follows an avid fitness routine, has an interest in culinary arts, and travels once a year to Europe, especially northern Spain and southwestern France.

Was never a fan of going to the dentist but Dr. Wong is the exception. He doesn't judge or lecture me which is nice compared to most other dentists. He's gentle and very accommodating. He explains everything he is doing as he does it and likes to make me as comfortable as possible. It's difficult finding a dentist as thoughtful as him. I have a hard time making an appointment because of work so he came early on a Saturday to do a cavity filling. He also gives electric toothbrushes which is truly amazing. I don't think I'll ever find a better dentist.

I came to Dr. Wong for a crown after getting a root canal on one of my molar teeth. I was in and out in one appointment and it was painless as well. The Tv in the rooms was a very nice relaxing touch as well. I am extremely pleased with his work and how comfortable I felt in his office during my visit. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wong.

Best decision ever. I hate going to the dentist but, Dr.Wong made it bearable. Although it doesn't seem like he has an assistant, he's super efficient on his own and makes sure that your dental needs are met. He made scheduling really easy and even gave me a nice electronic tooth brush. YAYYY!! And to top it off, he gives you great recommendations on the type of toothbrush, toothpaste, and any dental procedures you may need but does not force you into doing them. Dr.Wong takes UCSD Ship insurance, so if you don't have a dentist & have Ship, COME HERE!

Dr. Wong is one if the better dentists I've been to in here in San Diego. He really takes his time and explains his procedures step by step along the way. One thing I really liked was that he takes a very conservative approach to his treatments - I was told I needed a crown from another dentist but all I really needed was a filling (which I've had zero problems with) Thanks again to Dr. Wong for being a good honest dentist.

Dr. Wong is a fantastic dentist, My wife and I have been going to Dr. Wong for 5 years and he always handles our interactions with the utmost care and professionalism. He replaced one of my front crowns recently and it was better than the original. Best dentist we've ever had!

I've came to Dr. Wong a couple times (including today) and have left happy each time. Sure, he doesn't have an assistant to help him but from my last two visits, I barely had to wait just a few minutes as he finished up a phone call (most likely with another patient making an appointment). He is patient and will make sure you are comfy during your visit. And he'll give you tons of recommendations on what you should do to care for your teeth, including suggestions on which toothbrush or paste to use. Other dentists will try to offer you one thing after another to try and increase your bill but Dr. Wong doesn't do any of this. Parking is a breeze here and there isn't a need to get validation as there are plenty of 1 or 2 hour visitor parking spots. Try to schedule your appointment so you can leave by 2pm so you can beat that excruciating Golden Triangle traffic....

I have four separate bridges due to having orthodonture in my teens for too much space between my teeth. The bridges require replacement over time, and I've had them replaced by two other dentists over the years. I'm a perfectionist and was not 100% satisfied with the bridges that were done by other dentists. So I searched for a dentist who has additional specialized training in Prosthodontics, which is the cosmetic restoration and replacement of teeth, and found Dr. Wong. The bridge that Dr. Wong did is absolutely perfect. It's more comfortable and fits better than my other bridges. It looks so natural, you can't tell I have a bridge at all. Dr. Wong is not only a highly skilled dentist, he's an artist as well. I'm one tough customer and can't recommend Dr. Wong enough!

Dr Wong is a great dentist. His staff is friendly and helpful. I was going for a non emergency treatment so it 4 weeks to get an appointment. It was worth the wait. The office is very nice and relaxing. I was recommended to him from a friend.

Highly recommended! Need a crown....Dr Wong is one of the few dentist that also have high tech equipment on site to produce your permanent crown same day! No more temporary fittings and multiple visits! I was in and out with new permanent crown that looks and feels great in less than 2 1/2 hours! Thank you Dr Wong! Steve

I have been seeing Dr. Wong for a couple of years now after seeing his reviews on Yelp and the services offered. I likely see him approximately 3 times a year due to significant staining I have on my teeth due to a permanent retainer, coffee, wine, etc., etc. He is always exceptionally thorough, provides exceptional feedback, is always professional and is constantly ensuring my comfort. I also feel very comfortable going to see him so often for regular maintenance due to the affordability of his services. I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Wong, he is absolutely fabulous!

Outstanding customer service and patient care! My first visit to Dr. Wong was to get my crown done! He has super high tech equipment to make the crown the same day so i was in and out with my crown in 2 hours! I then went to him for a regular dental cleaning and have been back regularly. He is extremely friendly and helpful -- with toothpaste, toothbrush recommendations and always asking what i would like to watch on TV, haha. Going to miss him once i'm done with school in San Diego and have to go back home. Best dentist i've ever had!

The parking is a breeze thanks to 2 parking spots reserved for Dr.Wong's patients. In my opinion, Dr. Wong has great work ethics. He never finds work for himself that is unecessary for the patient. He has established practice and sometimes we had waiting time of a week or two till our next appointment. Which is not bad taking into account that he does really high-quality work.

Dr. Wong is an amazing person and dentist. I would recommend him to anyone, but especially to someone who has any fear of going to the dentist. He is patient, kind, caring, thorough, professional, and honest. All of which I find important in his profession. The best thing about Dr. Wong is there are practically no wait times when you have an appointment and that you get his full attention during your appointment. I feel like at other offices all the dentist or business that hires the dentists that are working care about is money. How many people can they see and how fast can they do it. This is not the case with Dr. Wong. You will be the only one in his office. On another note he has helped me when my insurance changed so that I could still go to him even though he is not in my metlife network. Finally Dr Wong has been practicing for over 20 or 25 years. He has seen it all and knows how to do it the best way. He has top of the line equipment and the availability for 1 day crowns. I would give him 6 stars if possible.
