All doctors were extremly professional and accommodating to my case. Dr. Mcgann answered all my questions before and after surgery to ensure confidence in my recovery. Before my teeth were fixed I had no confidence. Now Im making a solid living and enjoying every minute of my new life. Thank you Mcgann Facial Design!!!

I recently had to have my wisdom teeth removed and was very nervous about the procedure due to a childhood experience with tooth extraction. I had an appointment at 9, was finished with the consultation in about 10 minutes and was quickly put a ease with the friendliness off the staff and Dr. McGann's clear competence. I had the consultation, payment and procedure completed in under 2 hours. I went home to rest and received a call from Dr. McGann to see how I was doing and answer any questions I may have had. I'm healing nicely and have had no issues. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing oral surgery.

I had a great experience with Dr. McGann and his friendly staff. I went to have an oral appliance made for my sleep apnea. Dr McGann did a great job explaining everything to me, from the causes and risks of sleep apnea to the whole process of making the appliance and how to use it. You can tell he really cares about his patients and wants to make sure they are getting the best care possible. Beata, the surgical technician that also helped me, was great- very friendly and professional..and it didn't hurt that she is beautiful!

I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed by DrMcGann about three years ago. Thankfully i was able to afford to be put under but the only issue I did experience with his was that while getting me prepped for surgery after Dr. McCann had my IV set up I asked him after he pumped a couple different shots when I was going to be put under. He gave me a funny look and said "Right now...I just gave you the medicine." I felt a bit taken aback as I would of liked a heads up but the surgery was done Very very well and healed great. He did a wonderful job and I had minimal pain. My mouth took only about 3 weeks to heal and was happy with choosing him as my doctor for the surgery. His staff is nice and his office beautiful. I would reccomend him to anyone seeking any dental work.

Great experience. After getting my insurance companies list of accepted oral surgeons, I read reviews and choose to contact Dr McGann's office. I called and spoke with Natalia, explained my concerns, and hoped for an appointment asap. I was very impressed with Natalia's obvious "patient centered" approach. She went out of her way to fit me in next day, despite a packed schedule. That same professionalism and friendly experience continued upon the arrival for my appointment and throughout with the rest of my appointment.

STNS!!! Seriously Top Notch Service I went in to have 3 teeth removed 2 wisdom and one I broke in half , the staff was so kind and surgeon was very thorough and nice. When you go here you don't just feel like another number, you feel like someone who they all want to help feel better, and that's exactly what they did. The procedure was remarkably quick, I went in at 9 and was home in bed by 10:30. If your looking for a great place to take care of your oral need then you have found it :)

I could not be more thankful for Dr. Mcgann. I have always been terrified of dentist and getting dental procedures but this was incredible. I went in to get my wisdom teeth extracted and I'm 25...I've always heard it's so much worse with age and of course that scared me more. Needless to say I wasn't taking my pain meds by Saturday(got them out on Friday) I had little face swelling and was eating normally by Saturday!!! Thank you so much!

I had my four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. McGann two days ago. After putting it off for way too long, his office was able to get me in as soon as possible to relieve the daily pain I was experiencing. I was very nervous for the procedure but Dr. McGann and his staff all put me at ease. Two days later and I have no swelling and zero pain. To anyone needing their wisdoms out I would 100 percent recommend this office!

Dr. McGann and his office made this a painless, easy process from beginning to end. It was easy to make an appointment, I barely had to wait at all to be seen and the procedure itself took less than 15 minutes. I had two of my upper wisdom taken out, and the staff helped run multiple estimates on cost for type of procedure, amount of teeth taken out, among other factors. The office itself is gorgeous and has multiple rooms. Dr. McGann knew what he was doing and made it as easy as possible. Thank you for making this scary process, so not scary!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Dr. McGann and all of his staff. I was a nervous wreck about getting my wisdom teeth out and asked him probably two dozen questions during the consultation, and he answered all of them patiently and kindly. I had the teeth pulled today and everyone in the practice was reassuring and friendly. They even made an exception and let my roommate come back with me during the IV because I was so anxious (Which I really appreciated)! The procedure was quick and I was on my way out within 30 min. I'm now at home and despite it only being 6 hours after my surgery and all the teeth being impacted, I'm in no pain. Dr. McGann even called to check up and gave me his cell phone to call if I have any questions or problems. Would highly recommend this practice, you can tell the people really care.

Dr McGann removed six of my daughter's baby teeth. The procedure went very well. He and his staff were wonderful about keeping me informed and Dr McGann called personally to check on her that night. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. McGann and his staff are nothing short of amazing! His knowledge and expertise is evident, and his work speaks for itself. Dr. McGann takes his time to make sure you understand the ins and outs of the process, step by step. He explains it so well, that when he's done I almost feel as if I could perform the surgery myself! Then, as he's performing the surgery, I'm glad it's him and nobody else. Lastly, and probably most importantly Dr. McGann actually cares about his patients, he has personally called me after each one of my procedures to ask me how I'm feeling, and to make sure there weren't any complications. This is unheard of nowadays, thank you Dr. McGann for being professional and compassionate at the same time!

We were referred to Dr. McGann's Office by our dentist because my wife needed to have her wisdom teeth extracted. I've actually had two other family members come here as well and they had great experiences! Back to the wife... we called and scheduled our initial visit. The office itself is located next door to Sharp Memorial in the medical plaza. The parking structure was packed but we were lucky to find parking on the second level. The office itself is tastefully decorated and has a modern look to it. There are plenty of books and magazines in the waiting area. They also have light snacks available if you have the urge to partake. During our consultation Dr. McGann explained the procedure and was thorough, yet concise. He went through the risks and answered all of our questions. We definitely felt more comfortable about the extraction after talking to Dr. McGann. He wrote a prescription for meds and we scheduled the procedure for a few weeks later. There were medications that Dr. McGann prescribed pre and post procedure. My wife was quite anxious the morning of, but the extraction went well with no issues whatsoever. They were done in under 15 minutes and soon after the staff brought me back to the recovery area so I could hang out with my wife. It took about 15-20 minutes for my wife to recover and I drove us home. Prior to our departure the staff and Dr. McGann explained post procedure care and gave us the appropriate supplies to take home with us. Dr. McGann himself even called to follow up to make sure everything was going fine. One last thing about Dr. McGann and his staff. I received an envelope from them with a check from his office for over payment ($45.00). I would never have known if they kept the money. I think this speaks volumes about him and his staff. Really long story short, I highly recommend Dr. McGann if you need wisdom teeth extracted or need oral surgery.

I had an extremely positive experience at Dr. McGann's office yesterday for a tooth extraction. From the receptionist Sara, to the dental asst Margaurite, the insurance assistant, to Dr. McGann himself, I was treated with the utmost respect and is obvious patient care and treatment is high on their priority list. Everyone was so friendly, cheerful, and helpful - doing everything possible to make me feel comfortable. Dr. McGann thoroughly explained the procedure, which turned out to be quick and painless. And imagine my surprise to get a phone call from Dr. McGann himself later in the afternoon asking how I felt and did I have any questions. Thanks for making my experience a pleasant one - you set the model for health care professionals

Thanks Dr. McGann for making getting "teeth pulled" not like the adage... "like pulling teeth" I only go to, or take my family or self to the "Best of the Best" for medical care and of course tattoos ;) AND well... EVERYTHING ELSE.... Thanks YELP! Folks, this Oral Surgeon, Dr. Grant McGann, staff and office falls in this category. They are excellent and exceptional! After much research and a very trusted recommendation from MY extremely honest dentist, Dr. Scott Chau. WE SCORED AT THIS PLACE..... Fo Shizzle Sharing my great experiences with places like THIS is why "I do Yelp". To share the love. My husband came in for an in office consultation, pano x-ray, and wisdom teeth extraction. I had done a lot of footwork over the phone, with insurance and paperwork, so that made this appointment very smooth and quick. This place made getting the ole wisdom teeth surgery as easy as 1-2-3-4 * Pano pics and consultation with Dr. McGann *paperwork signing and financials * surgery (can't say, wasn't in there) but saw the rooms.. fancy schmancy *nice recovery room, in state of the art facility (they also send you home with gauze, an ice pack, chapstick and instructions list) Snacks in the waiting room for family members or friends waiting during the procedure..... Later that afternoon, I received a phone call from Dr. McGann checking up on my husband to see how he was doing, I reluctantly informed him my husband was up and doing work in the yard.... AFTER SURGERY.... I guess the surgery went really smooth and was pretty painless for my husband to be outside walking around raking leaves six hours after the surgery..... Dr. McGann just kinda chuckled and said "well..... "I guess you can't hold him down" but make sure he takes it easy..... I guess if the surgery is done right.... can be pretty simple..... *parking is a paid lot....and a very short walk to the office I am thrilled with this office, staff and Dr. McGann.... when the time comes for my son to get his wisdom teeth extracted... you bet yer keester.... I will be bringing my precious child to this practice.

Dr. McGann and his staff deserve every star reviewed here. I came in for wisdom teeth removal and I was so scared. I had my bottom ones out about 19 years ago when I was 12 and I was miserable after. Had my upper ones out today and am barely in any pain- just taking Ibuprofen- and barely barely swollen. Just looks like I had too much pizza on a fat day. Went in to the room for my surgery, I said I was cold, BAM, right there with a warm blanket. I was visibly nervous because I hate needles, BOOM, nurse right there to hold my hand for the IV. I even said my lips were chapped and they had me covered with a coconut lip balm. The level of care you get is unmatched. He and his staff are truly too notch. If I ever have to have anything else, I will be going here. He even called me personally later in the day to check in. Who does that?! Thanks y'all!!

I was referred to Dr. McGann nearly a year ago when I went to a dentist near my workplace to investigate swelling near one of my two impacted lower wisdom teeth. Unfortunately, I had a cyst growing next to it and my left wisdom tooth and cyst would need to be removed. The dentist took some x-rays which were sent off to Dr. McGann when I called for my consultation. The McGann office has a very modern, minimalist aesthetic. When I checked in for surgery, I introduced my mom as my companion. When I was speaking with the nurse in one of the small offices later, I saw a little pop up on the compter screen describing my mom's name and the sweater she was wearing. Cool details! My mom's opinion during my surgery: "The waiting area was cold, but the seats were comfy enough. It was a very nice office." After my surgery, my mom was brought in to wait with me and take me home. I recieved a goodie bag and a blanket to take home with me. Dr. McGann called me later that afternoon to see how I was doing. He let me know that my cyst was determined to be nothing to worry about following a biopsy. I did not need to take any of the more powerful pain drugs, just the ibuprofen they gave me. I had the weekend to recover and went back to work. I don't know if it was just that day, but my mom said the parking fee was higher than what I had paid a few weeks before. No validation, so be mindful of any changes.

I have meant to write this review for some time now. I was referred by Dr. McGann by my Dentist Vaida Avery in Pacific Beach. When she told me her own Mother had gone to Doctor McGann to have her teeth worked on and got put under, I knew I could trust the referral. Plus, all of the amazing Yelp reviews were really helpful! I ended up having two teeth pulled. One upper and one lower (not wisdom teeth), but back teeth so that even though they are removed, you cannot tell because they are not in my smile line. The first appointment with Dr. McGann was about five months before I actually had my surgery. They took x-rays, I met with Dr. McGann and one of his assistants, and completed paperwork. I don't believe they will just take you in without a consultation first, but you can verify if you are in an emergency situation. On January 13th 2017, I had my surgery done and I was in and out of the office within 30 minutes. Each tooth extraction must have taken Doctor McGann only five minutes a piece. After my insurance, I only paid $150 out of pocket to have two teeth removed, was put under, and home within @ an hour. My guy waited for me in the lobby while I was in surgery. If you like the specifics, I recommend taking a tour of the surgery area so that it is a familiar room when you go in. To me, it seemed I kind of knew what to expect before the surgery date. Seeing a wide cushion all white chair with lots of area space in a brightly lit room...made me pause...and realize...I need to get this done. For me, I tend to not go into surgery until the pain outweighs the benefit of the reward.

Dr. McGann and his staff were great! I was able to get in very quickly for an emergency treatment when my oral surgeon (out of town) referred me to this office. My issues were taken care of quickly and professionally, couldn't be happier. Thank you Dr. McGann and everyone in your office.

Had to have a tooth removed. Needless to say, not a fun day. But I was very impressed with the staff and services here. Completely painless and it really took no time at all. Whew!

This guy is a Pro's pro ! I had some deeply impacted wisdom teeth as I had procrastinated about getting them out ( don't wait so long ! ) He had them out in some 50 min and I am almost completely healed now and so glad they will never bother me again ! Also , I called a few weeks after the surgery and spoke to Nick who gave me very good tips on dealing with some residual pain .. his advice was spot on . Don't hesitate to seek help from this group !

As a professional trombonist, my face is my livelihood and I delayed extracting wisdom teeth for 20 years. Dr McGann and staff are the best of the best. Clean, easy, comfortable and extremely well done. Thank you.

Excellent!! This Oral Surgeon.. not dentist lol :) Is great. he is nice and tells you your options b4 doing anything after he does a q quick examination. I had an emergency tooth extraction done. I could have had a root canal but after all the things I've heard about them not always working I decided to get rid of the tooth because it was causing me excruciating pain. I could handle it for almost 2 weeks because the first week I was trying to decide what I wanted to do. I decided to get it extracted and the second week all I did was wait for my DENTIST at south Clairemont dental on Clairemont drive to give me an answer about a oral surgeon that was closer to me. I live in Clairemont and they wanted me to go all the way to Mira Mesa. I asked for something closer and then the desk agent said she'd help me and a week later no response. On top of that they refused to send over my x-rays of my teeth because I wasn't using there person. I am so glad I found Mr. McGann. He's great. I was super anxious and nervous and I initially asked for the knock out meds because have a great fear of dentists and doctors especially males but my insurance would not cover it and I didn't have that much on hand. So I sucked it up and just took local anesthetic. I got in the room and totally freaked out but of course I tried not to let them see it being 28 yrs old. So after they gave me the meds and left the room I immediately started tearing up and texted my bf which made me feel a little better and then I cleaned up b4 they came back in the room and he was so nice it just calmed me down. He gave me options which both he could do right then and there. I went with extraction because I was DONE with the pain and all I've had to go through. But He came in and I was out in literally 5 mins from my extraction. Didn't hurt a but barley any pressure. it was great. I will make sure I keep my PPO plan just so that I can come back to him int he future :)
