At Seaside Dental, we offers a full spectrum of services including full mouth reconstruction, aesthetic makeovers, and routine dentistry. Seaside Dental's core team consists of three dentists. Dr. Melissa F. Minger specializes in adult care, earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed her residency training at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Thomas H. Lange has been offering dental solutions in the fields of general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry since 1977. Dr. Lange completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Temple University School of Dentistry. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy and is currently dynamically involved in the local community through providing free dental services.
A residency trained general dentist, Dr. Alex Kim is a specialist in treating multidisciplinary complex dental cases, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, jaw and joint disorders, restorative and preventive dentistry, oral surgery, and oral conscious sedation. Dr. Kim received his Doctor of Dental Medicine at University of Louisville School of Dentistry.

Dr. Kim and the Seaside Dental staff are incredible! I just moved from PA and was referred to Dr. Kim by another doctor. I have had facial pain for over 10 years and Dr. Kim is very determined to find me relief. Extremely happy with my new smile which is all thanks to the incredibly talented Dr. Minger! I had lost a few teeth to accidents in my past and was avoiding more dental work but the great staff at Seaside Dental came highly recommended and changed my perspective. Seaside Dental is the BEST!!!! Everyone is so kind and knowledgable. Anyone can call and speak with receptionist extraordinaire Linda - She's awesome! She knows how to communicate with patients from people who have never been to the dentist to speaking with people with advanced dental knowledge. She can literally answer any question. My Dental Hygienist Abby is the coolest, funniest, sweetest person ever! I am not kidding when I tell you I feel NO pain when I come into get my teeth cleaned. We always have the funniest conversations and you kind of feel like you have known her your whole life. Since my very first visit she remembers what makes me comfortable: Warm neck pillow, Warm blanket, sunglasses, headphones, TV. . . With my favorite station already on! My teeth always feel so healthy and clean when I leave. The facility is so clean and organized. The machines and dental equipment are top of the line. You start to think as you walk through - how cool would it be to work at a place like this! Everyone just loves their job! :) Dr. Minger is by far the worlds best dentist! If there were the Oscars for Dentists, she would hands down receive the golden statue. When I first met Dr. Minger my teeth were basically falling out, in other words I had way too many cavities! Now I have the worlds most beautiful and healthy teeth because of her. I have never felt any pain while getting work done. I hear people talk about how they don't like going to the dentist. I can honestly say that I look forward to going to the dentist because I know I won't ever be uncomfortable. The amount of good Dr. Minger does for humanity in dental care is just out of this world. I enjoy hearing and learning about her trips to poverty stricken countries to perform dental care to those less than fortunate. Dr. Minger is loyal to her patients, you will always be her first and foremost priority. She truly has the kindest heart. Seaside Dental will be the best decision you ever made. I promise, they will make you feel right at home. :)

This place is amazing! In my experience there are two things that usually keep me away from going to the dentist (as much as I might need it) one of them is the bill and the second, and I am assuming most of you will agree, the nightmare stories. This office addresses both amazingly. They have plenty of plans to work with you when it comes to be able to afford their services. I have been able to address many issues thanks to the staff who takes the time to explain your options and plans. In terms of the nightmare stories, you need to not worry about it. Their staff is extremely friendly and gentle, they do everything in their power to make you feel comfortable and make your visit a pleasant one. I have been pampered with warm towels for my face, numbing gel, I get to choose what to watch on TV, I have been offered to nap while getting my cleanings done, they have blankets and neck pillows, after your visit you get this little party favor bag...I mean come on! If you are looking for a new dentist I recommend you give this place a chance, I can guarantee you won't regret it.

I'm not a spring chicken and at 69 years old, I've had over 40 different dentists. Thank goodness, my roots run deep so I still have all my teeth and a lot of caps! ...Long story short, Seaside Dental agreed to accept payment in full from the VA. They just had to get the proposed work pre-approved. NEVER HAVE I HAD SUCH GREAT PROFESSIONAL DENTAL CARE! Seaside Dental has the latest equipment and they know what they are doing! I recommend them to everyone, and especially to the VA patients!

I had an old filling from years ago fall out. I called Seaside Dental, they had an appointment the next day, and Dr. Catherine Oleksy replaced the filling in very little time. She was very personable, professional, and new office in La Jolla/UTC was beautiful. Dr Oleksy made sure the new filling was not affecting my bite, she did not stop until it was perfect, all the while I watched TV. That is the care and comfort I look for in a dentist. After some mediocre and downright terrible dental experiences, I did some research to find a practice that I would love and trust. Seaside Dental delivered! I cannot say enough good things about their team. From Julia's welcoming demeanor at the front desk, to the gentle and thorough dental hygienists, to of course the doctors themselves. Dr. Kim is so personable and detail oriented, I trusted him the moment I met him. You would never think someone would look forward to a filling, but if it's with Dr. Kim, I do! A bit unbelievable, I know. If you're looking for a dentist in the area (or even if you have to drive from far away) I highly recommend. Office is beautiful and zen-like, parking is easy, and treatments are top-notch.

Been going to seaside dental for years and will keep going! They have pretty good TVs with headphones for while you get your cleaning done which you can control. I've never been made to wait for an appointment, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I've had fillings redone and other simple work and it is always painless and easy.

I just had a teeth cleaning with Abbey. She's the best, always making sure I am comfortable with a "blanky" and a warm neck roll. It's like going to a spa. Then Dr Minger found some areas that need attention with little fillings. This office is very preventative, and due to their thorough attention to detail, my teeth are in great shape. I'll be 75 this weekend, and I've been going to Dr Lange's office for 35 years. This is an A+ dental office with all the newest equipment, finest dentists, and caring employees

When walking into Seaside Dental, you immediately get the feeling of walking into a calm, almost spa-like office, with some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The staff and doctors at Seaside Dental do everything they can to make a routine dentist visit anything but nerve-wracking. Without going into detail, I had an array of dental issues that needed to be addressed. Dr. Minger worked her magic, and transformed my teeth into a healthy and beautiful smile- and for that, I will be forever grateful! I appreciate that Dr. Minger is always working to continue her education. That dedication to dentistry radiates throughout her practice as well as through the exceptional techniques of her staff. I would also like to acknowledge Linda and Tanya. Linda does such a great job coordinating appointments around my busy schedule, and creating treatment plans alongside Dr. Minger. Tanya does a fantastic job of assisting Dr. Minger during procedures, and really makes it a priority to ensure that the procedures are as stress-free as possible. I really can't say enough good things about everyone within this office!

We are new patients at Seaside Dental, but I've had three great experiences. My 3 year old son had his first dentist visit, & had his teeth cleaned & "counted" by Chris. She was great with my son, made him feel special & allowed him to see the tools. I then had a cleaning myself which went well, followed by 3 fillings (touch ups of older fillings, rather) at an appointment today. I was comfortably numb, just as I like it. Dr Minger is incredibly sweet and obviously very experienced. It's rare to enjoy going to the dentist :)

I love Seaside Dental! Much to my dismay I found myself with a cracked and chipped on-lay. I called the office and I could have had a appointment the next day. I chose to wait one more day since my tooth did not hurt and it worked out better for my schedule. The whole process of X-rays, removing the broken on-lay, preparing the tooth for a new crown, making the crown and fitting it was less than two hours. Dr. Minger and her assistant were kind, pleasant and professional. The outcome was outstanding. My bite feels normal and comfortable. There is room between teeth to floss easily. The color match to the adjacent teeth is perfect. I am 100% satisfied and grateful.

I love this office. Dr. Minger and the staff are very friendly and amazingly service oriented. They care - they don't say it, but they show it. After my first visit, everyone knew my name. At my cleaning appointment, the dental assistant came out to say hi, the front desk welcomed me by name and the hygienist was gentle and reassuring. A friend asked for a dental recommendation, and after going here thanked me for the great recommendation. They are now loyal patients of the office too. I love seaside dental. I've had to get a bit of work done, and Dr. Minger came highly recommended. She was super sweet, caring and attentive to all my needs and fears. Dr. Kim is an exceptional dentist. He goes above and beyond for his patients. I used to have a perfect bite, but it had changed over time. It meant either orthodontics or restoration work. But he wanted to go one step further to see maybe if my bite had changed due to my cervical spine compensating. The x-rays showed what he suspected. He mentioned that I needed to fix my cervical spine before he could fix my teeth, and mentioned that treatment for my cervical spine may fix my bite to the point where I won't need any further dental work done. So I am now receiving chiropractic treatments to fix my cervical spine. If I do still need work done on my teeth, I wouldn't want anyone else but Dr. Kim to do the work. He genuinely cares about your overall health as well as your teeth. He saved my spine! He's a great dentist.
