Dr. Steven A. Beuligmann’s dental practice in Carlsbad provides cosmetic, family and restorative dental services to restore your smile using the latest and minimally-invasive treatment procedures. His clinic first carries out dental exams to know the state of your oral health including evaluation of gums and teeth, oral cancer screening, and digital X-rays.
Dr. Beuligmann began practicing in Carlsbad in 1993 and uses state-of-the-art dental equipment including intraoral video cameras, ultrasonic scalers, and CEREC® same-day crowns. He also helps patients who express phobia or fear towards dental procedures. Dr. Beuligmann, a graduate in Biology and Microbiology from UCSD, California, received his doctorate in dental surgery from Georgia’s Emory University.

When you move to a new area, it is difficult to find all new dentists, doctors, etc. I need a crown and root canal and interviewed three dentists. Dr. B is the only one I felt comfortable with. He is very friendly and doesn't hurry explaining what needs to be done. His office is clean and easy to find. He referred me to an endodontist and Dr B will make the crown in his office. Since I have no dental insurance I might not use him as he is very expensive.

Dr Beuligmann is my very favorite dentist and I have been to many! His office is comfortable with a beautiful Hawaiian theme and a very friendly staff. I never enjoyed dental appointments not just because of the discomfort but I always felt I was getting played with the extra cost or unneeded procedures. Not with Dr. Beuligmann. He explains everything clearly and does not sell you on procedures you do not need. A very nice office and a very nice man.

I'm an old lady. I've been to dentists my whole life and now for the first time I've found one that I trust and feel comfortable with. I lost my insurance after retiring and floundered around for years without a dentist but after seeing all the Yelp 5 star reviews of Dr. Beuligmann and his staff I took the leap. I am SO VERY GLAD I DID!!!! Everyone in the office is genuinely calm, gentle and kind. Dr. B as he is referred to, explains all that he is doing and is always aware of the patients pain level and you can sense and feel that he and his staff really know what they are doing and are very concerned for the patients comfort. One thing that I really appreciate is that Dr. B didn't push the fact that I have a back molar without a tooth in it and is a prime candidate for an expensive implant that my past dentist wanted desperately to put in and charge me a huge amount of money for. Dr. B explained what an implant would entail but said for my situation it wasn't at all necessary. Also other teeth that have ancient crowns that are a bit wonky now, we are going to watch them, and, in time replace them but it wasn't something he insisted I do in the next 5 minutes. So....I am beyond excited and thrilled with Dr. B and his kind and capable staff!!! The extra bonus is the office is eye candy, really decorated fantastically in a relaxed and professionally executed Hawaiian style. Your search is over, this dentist has it all!!!!!!!!

Have been going here for years and always have had a good experience. My daughter now goes as well. She also has never had a problem. So they obviously are equipped to handle adults and children. Dr.B is professional,yet has his joking side as well. Nice to know your Dr. can have a sense of humor and still mix it with getting down to business. The office staff are very friendly and good at their job. (also doesnt hurt that they are all beautiful) Re-scheduling appointments and emergency's have never been a problem as long as i have been coming here. I would recommend him and seriously doubt you will be disappointed.

Best Dentist I have ever been to, a truly great guy who is hilarious and personable. He is always talking and smiling when with patients at the office and really makes you feel like you are visiting a friend instead of going to get a tooth pulled. And his new office is gorgeous!!! It has top of the line appliances with two tvs in the patient rooms and a classy and calm tropical feeling throughout. The staff are the sweetest girls and are always so friendly to me when I walk in, they make me feel so welcome!

I recently moved to the Carlsbad area and I was in serious need for a really good dentist. I'm certain I found not only the best dentist in Carlsbad but also the best staff. The office is state of the art with visual aids that help you relax during your procedure. Both, the receptionists and dental hygienists were incredibly attentive and educational. I can't say enough about their professional services. Dr. Beuligmann's staff took care of me all in one visit----full check-up and cleaning. Other practices wanted me to stop by multiple times to do a check-up first and then a cleaning.

He is not only a good dentist, he is honest. My niece got a quote from another dentist, over $2400. Dr. B said the work was totally unnecessary. He is so nice and genuine and that's the way the whole office is. Great bunch of people.

I travel nearly 3 hours each way to come to Dr. Beuligmann. There's no one better! He's handled my family's dentistry for 15 years. When we moved out of Carlsbad five years ago we tried several highly recommended offices but never found any as professional and caring as Dr. B's. He's terrific with our 13yo daughter who has always loved to go to the dentist. Who loves visiting the dentist? My kid . The staff is really nice, billing is always efficient and the office is awesome. If you want an excellent and trustworthy dentist, you've found him. Dr. Beuligmann is the best in Carlsbad and worth a 3-hour drive!

Stop searching for a dentist in Carlsbad because I've found the best of the best! Dr B. and his staff are truly exceptional in every way. Everything about one's experience there is top of the line. From their reasonable prices (and gorgeous decor!) to the warm and caring staff, along with the good doc himself, I feel very well taken care of and comfortable there. The quality of the work is superb. And, when you go for your appointment, be sure to look up at the ceiling for a surprise! Book him, Danno. I'd give him an 11 out of 10. A true professional.

Thank goodness I changed dentists to Dr. B.! He showed me some things with my teeth that could actually save many hours of future visits to the dentist. His staff was exceptional, and he spent time with me going over my exam in great detail. My prior dentist didn't even see me when I was there for my normal cleaning. What a difference with this dentist. My prior dentist is not from this area, by the way. I would recommend this dentist to anyone in the North County area.

Fantastic experience - I had a cap fall off a tooth, and the friendly staff person scheduled me promptly for the next day. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, and paid a very reasonable fee. They have TVs in the ceiling so you can watch your favorite show while they do their work - nice!

I was fortunate to have someone recommend Dr. B and his staff when I cracked a tooth a week before vacation. They got me in the day I called and had my permanent crown a few days later. Dr. B and staff are the best! We moved here 3 years ago and it took me 2 other dentist before I found "the one". Twice he has come in on a Saturday when a tooth broke to put in a temporary one! Another bonus is watching HGTV, sometimes I have had to stay longer to see how the show ends and really who wants to stay longer at the dentist! Highly recommend.

Hadn't been to a Dentist in at least 5 years. My teeth are the cleanest that I have ever seen them. There was minimal wait time. Everyone was very helpful. Dr. Beuligmann, DDS and his staff explained everything that they were doing completely. His prices were less than my previous Dentist. I have recommended him to my Boss. Dr. B is wonderful! My wife saw someone else prior to our marriage. After seeing some of the treatment plans from an other dentist, I suggested we look into another provider. She was respective to the idea. She went to see Dr. B and was beyond impressed. Melissa (my wife) was happy to see reasonable treatment plans. Shortly after, my three step children became patients. I drive over 20 miles to visit Dr. Beuligmann's office and it is worth it! Moved to San Diego 11 years ago and the first dentist we used, recommended by a friend, was awful. Dr. B's office was recommended by a colleague and has been phenomenal. Gratefully, I don't see Dr. Beuligmann much as I have not needed any work done. What a nice and honest dentist. Finding a good dentist is hard to come by nowadays--- especially someone who isn't going to scam you. My boyfriend was in extreme pain and needed to see a dentist immediately. They were very accommodating and got us in right away. He doesn't beat around the bush and gets right down to the process. He kindly explains the situation and repeats anything that you may not have entirely understood. He reiterates that if you have ANY questions- any questions at all- DO NOT hesitate to ask, or call back later to ask if any new questions come to mind. The office was beautiful, clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. We were greeted by Carrie and my boyfriend was taken care of by Steven Beuligmann (the main Dr.) and his assistant Stacy. They don't accept many types of insurance, however, they are open, accommodating and honest. I have a major appreciation for businesses that cut the B.S. and do what needs to be done. As a matter of fact, they referred us to another doctor who would be an even better fit for the work my boyfriend needed to have done. Love the whole team here! From the friendliness of the staff answering the phones and greeting you at the door when you walk in, to the hygienists all the way to the man himself- it's a great dental experience which are two words you probably wouldn't expect to hear together! Love this place! Wish more than anything they were covered under my. Urgent insurance. Went there for years when I was on my parents insurance but can't go now! Had some lovely dental work done by this team and have had no problems or complications since! Used care credit to pay for it all and paid no interest and it ended up being totally affordable! Great dentist office if you're looking for a place to go!

My wife slipped in the shower and broke her entire front tooth out, in tact and her lower lip was split. I did not know who else to call, It was Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Dr. B picked up and directed us to put the tooth in a cup of milk and get to his office. Upon our arrival he was ready for us. Long story short he fixed my wife's tooth, stiched up her lower lip with 10 stitches and we were good to go. Br. B saved my wife's face and i am forever grateful.
